Fantasy Cricket Team for today’s match

We have opted for a fantasy cricket team based on the recent performances, overall impact, and credit points.

Pitch Report for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) vs Delhi Match at DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai

Barring the Bangalore vs Punjab game, the wicket has been pretty good to bat on. Till now, two of four games have been won by the defending team. Toss, therefore, hasn’t been a major factor in deciding the outcome of the game.

Probable Playing XIs for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) & Delhi

Probable XI for Lucknow Super Giants: KL Rahul (c), Quinton de Kock (wk), Manish Pandey, Evin Lewis, Deepak Hooda, Ayush Badoni, Krunal Pandya, Jason Holder, Andrew Tye, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan

Probable XI for Delhi: Prithvi Shaw, David Warner, Yash Dhull/Sarfaraz Khan, Rishabh Pant (c & wk), Lalit Yadav, Rovman Powell, Shardul Thakur, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Khaleel Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman/Anrich Nortje

Power Players for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) vs Delhi Match

Post his 68 against Hyderabad, KL Rahul became only the fifth Indian to hit 50 half-centuries in competitive T20 cricket. Although he is a free-flowing batter, he may have to curb his instinct in order to play the role of a sheet anchor for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) this season.

Jason Holder proved his worth in his very first appearance for LSG by picking 3 wickets against Hyderabad. The West Indian all-rounder can also use his long handle to good effect.

Although Rishabh Pant scored a breezy 43 against Gujarat, he will be disappointed at not being able to finish the game for his side. Delhi will need their skipper to contribute heavily with the bat and gloves going forward.

Anrich Nortje was Delhi’s best pacer in the last two editions. He picked 34 wickets with both new and old ball. He should open the bowling.

Smart Picks for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) vs Delhi Match

Avesh Khan’s spell of 4 for 24 proved to be vital against Hyderabad. He has taken 7 wickets in three games.

Krunal Pandya is one of the most effective all-rounders going around in the competition. He may not set the stage on fire but has the knack for getting the job done in his own unique fashion.

With two fifties in three games, Deepak Hooda has been providing the required impetus for LSG in the middle order. His six-hitting ability helps fantasy players with handy bonus points.

Barring a 61 against Chennai, Quinton de Kock has got two single-digit scores in the other two matches. That said, the South African also adds fantasy points with his glovework.

Although David Warner didn’t play the limited-overs series in Pakistan, he will be confident given his record (4 hundreds) in the Indian T20 League.

Kuldeep Yadav seems to be enjoying bowling for Delhi. He has bagged 4 wickets in two games. Given the big-hitters in the Lucknow side, the Chinaman will have another opportunity to add to his wickets tally.

Axar Patel might have gone wicketless in both games, but we know he was the second-highest wicket-taker (15) for Delhi in 2021. He is also capable of getting quick runs down the order, as we saw in the match against Mumbai.

Prithvi Shaw is yet to make any significant contribution with the bat. However, the presence of Warner might just allow him to express himself better in the powerplay.
