Fantasy Tips for Chennai Vs Kolkata Match

We have opted for a fantasy cricket team based on the recent performances, overall impact, and credit points.

Power Players from Chennai and Kolkata Teams

Ruturaj Gaikwad averages a whopping 47 in the league, having scored seven fifties and a hundred in 22 games. He finished as the highest run-scorer for Chennai in the previous season. He had scores of 32, 40, and 64 against Kolkata in 2021.

Shreyas Iyer has had a great time in 2021. He was adjudged the Player of the Series in both T20I and Test series against Sri Lanka. In the league, he has averaged 35 in the last two editions.

Ravindra Jadeja is a fantasy player’s delight, especially in the Indian T20 League. He took the most catches (13), blasted 227 runs with a strike rate of 145, and took 13 wickets in 2021. More importantly, he has been batting up the order of late in the shortest format.

Venkatesh Iyer was the star player for Kolkata last season, and he has been in splendid form ever since: 370 runs with 128 strike rate in the league, 155 runs with 141 strike rate in the Indian Domestic T20 Series, and 133 runs with 162 strike rate for India.

Smart Picks from Chennai and Kolkata Teams

Robin Uthappa‘s late addition in the previous season improved Chennai’s performance, gradually playing at the expense of the warhorse Suresh Raina. The knock of 63 off 44 in the first qualifier was a testimony to his overall experience and form.

The economical duo of Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy will be difficult to deal with in both powerplay and middle-overs. They took 34 wickets between them, maintaining an economy of 6.5 in 2021.

Chennai spotted the raw and powerful talent in U-19 all-rounder Rajvardhan Hangargekar who has a reputation for using the long handle to blasting effect. In addition, he can clock 140 kmph with his right-arm pace.

Andre Russell needs only two overs at the death to make fantasy cricket exciting. In a mere 19 overs, he managed 11 wickets at 9.8 in 2021. With the bat, however, he has not been the same force.

Devon Conway has scored 602 runs at 50 in 20 T20Is, including a hundred and a fifty.

Although Dwayne Bravo’s batting was not fully exploited, he continued using his expertise in striking with the ball. Given Chennai has changed their bowling combination, Bravo is likely to be their go-to death bowler.
