BCCI have lifted bans on Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul with immediate effect. Both were suspended by Committee of Administrators (CoA) after their controversial comments on a talk show. However, the inquiry will continue once Supreme Court appoints an Ombudsmen. The court has adjourned the hearing to February 5.
Meanwhile, Pandya has been asked to join the India squad who are current playing limited-overs series in New Zealand. India have already taken a 0-1 lead in the five ODI series. Pandya is Kohli’s replacement, who will be rested for the last two ODIs and the T20I series.
On the other hand, Rahul will join India A squad for the final three ODIs against England Lions in Trivandrum.
Pandya and Rahul were sent back home a day before the ODI series in Australia. While Vijay Shankar replaced Hardik Pandya as a like-for-like replacement, Shubman Gill replaced Rahul.
