Teams

Probable XI for India: KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma (c), Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant/Dinesh Karthik (wk), Deepak Hooda, Hardik Pandya, Ravichandran Ashwin/Axar Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar/Deepak Chahar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Arshdeep Singh

Probable XI for Afghanistan: Hazratullah Zazai, Rahmanullah Gurbaz (wk), Ibrahim Zadran, Najibullah Zadran, Mohammad Nabi (c), Karim Janat, Rashid Khan, Azmatullah Omarzai, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Fareed Ahmad Malik, Fazalhaq Farooqi

Form Concerns

Mohammad Nabi hasn’t quite justified his selection in fantasy leagues lately. With the bat, he has added only 9 runs to go with 3 wickets in his last five T20Is.

Shuffling up and down the order hasn’t helped Deepak Hooda get into the groove. He has managed only 88 runs in his last five T20Is. The wickets column remains empty as well. Overall, he hasn’t brought much value to fantasy players.

Game Changer

Deepak Chahar is expected to play. Given the early assistance for the seamers, he could run through the Afghan top order in a jiffy. He picked 5 wickets in 2 outings against Zimbabwe last month.

Given how poorly India have negotiated spinners in white-ball cricket lately, Rashid Khan could make serious inroads. His spell of 4-0-25-2 almost won the game for his side against Pakistan.

Smart Picks

Yuzvendra Chahal demonstrated his class by bagging a three-wicket haul against Sri Lanka. Hitting him out of the park in Dubai is going to be no mean task.

If Mujeeb Ur Rehman doesn’t strike with the ball, his economical bowling comes to your rescue. One way or the other, he contributes big time in fantasy leagues. He has taken 7 wickets in 4 matches.

Power Players

After a few promising starts, Rohit Sharma finally managed to convert one by smashing a 41-ball 72 against Sri Lanka. On the other hand, KL Rahul too has provided brisk starts, but is yet to go bonkers.

When these two last batted against Afghanistan in the T20 World Cup, they stitched an opening partnership of 140.

After his heroics in the opening game against Pakistan, Hardik Pandya hasn’t had much of an impact (17 runs and a wicket) in his last two outings. However, he would be keen on signing off on a positive note.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz is not a fan of scratching around the crease. Going berserk in the powerplay has fetched him 158 runs (4 fours and 12 sixes) at 38 in this tournament.

Fantasy Tip of The Day

Both sides have been good in patches. A well-balanced fantasy cricket team might be the way to go for this game.
