Fantasy Cricket Team

We have opted for a fantasy cricket team based on the recent performances, overall impact, and credit points.

Pitch Report

Only two T20Is have been played at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. Interestingly, in both games, one side was bowled out below 100. That said, when India last batted against Sri Lanka, they ended up scoring 180.

Power Players

It was the David Miller-Rassie van der Dussen show at Delhi as the pair stitched a 131-run partnership to cross the line. While Miller has added 134 runs in his last five T20I innings, van der Dussen has 250 runs to his credit.

Despite a disappointing time in the Indian T20 League, Ishan Kishan blasted 11 fours and 3 sixes in his knock of 76. He averages 43.4 in his last five T20I innings.

Smart Picks

Harshal Patel’s subtle deception will always keep him in the hunt, especially if India bowl first. He is one of the best death bowlers going around.

Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje know a thing or two about succeeding on Indian wickets. Although they leaked runs in the opening T20I, they are capable of changing the game in a spell or two.

Quinton de Kock loves playing against India, especially when it comes to the white ball. Besides his mind-boggling ODI numbers, he has also slammed 2 half-centuries in four innings against them in T20Is.

Hardik Pandya once again showed us signs of his prime form by smashing 31 off 12 balls at Delhi. In addition to his explosive batting, he can also generate fantasy points through his bowling.

Tabraiz Shamsi might have got hammered for 27 in only 2 overs at Delhi, but it’s not to be forgotten that he is the No.1 bowler in the ICC T20I rankings. Before the opening game against India, he had picked 7 wickets in three games.

After a spectacular show in the Indian T20 League, Yuzvendra Chahal couldn’t be amongst the wickets at Kotla. That said, the last time he played at Cuttack, he bagged a four-wicket haul.

Shreyas Iyer is experiencing a purple patch with the willow in T20Is. In his last five innings, he has been unbeaten thrice and has added 265 runs.

Match Preview

Although the Indian batters did well to post a big score on the board at Delhi, the bowlers couldn’t restrict the South African batters from chasing it down. Moreover, India will not have a good memory of the Cuttack ground after their defeat to South Africa in 2015. The hosts will need to raise their bowling standards to avoid any further slip-up.
