Power Players for Ireland vs India Match

Harry Tector’s 64 off 33 balls was instrumental in taking Ireland from 22 for 3 to 108 in 12 overs. In the process, he also generated bonus fantasy points by hitting 9 boundaries.

Hardik Pandya once again made his presence felt by picking a wicket and scoring a breezy 24 in the first game. His dual ability makes him a favourite pick as a captain in fantasy leagues.

Deepak Hooda made the most of his opportunity by blasting 47* as an opener to seal a comfortable victory for India. Given Ruturaj Gaikwad’s injury, he could be sent up yet again.

Ishan Kishan will remain a big threat for Ireland in the powerplay. In his last six T20Is, he has added 276 runs, including the highest score of 76.

Smart Picks for Ireland vs India Match

Suryakumar Yadav might have been dismissed for a duck in the first T20, but he averages 35 in the format and is capable of winning the game all by himself.

For many years, Craig Young has been leading the pace attack for Ireland in white-ball cricket. He was the only Irish bowler who looked effective, eventually managing two wickets.

Paul Stirling has scored only one half-century in his last 10 T20Is, but his ability to remain aggressive in the powerplay often helps fantasy players with bonus points. He is also a handy off-spinner who is capable of breaking partnerships.

Umran Malik could bowl only one over due to the reduction in overs. If he gets an opportunity to finish his full quota in the second T20I, he could be a nightmare for the Irish batters.

George Dockrell and Andy McBrine are quality players who are capable of generating fantasy points with both bat and ball. They remain as floaters in the batting order and can also operate with the ball in the powerplay.

Despite conditions not being very conducive to spin bowling, Yuzvendra Chahal was impressive. He has bagged 7 wickets in his last 4 outings.

Today’s Match Preview

After having won the opening game, India may be tempted to further try out some new faces. Nonetheless, Ireland will have to play as a cohesive unit to compete against the mighty visitors, let alone level the series.
