The Kolkata team is ready to kick off their IPL 2025 campaign with an exciting and well-balanced schedule. The season begins on March 22 with a thrilling home match at Eden Gardens against Bangalore. The iconic stadium in Kolkata will host several key games throughout the season, as Kolkata aims to make an early impact in the competition.
After the season opener, Kolkata will travel for away matches against Rajasthan on March 26 at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, and Mumbai on March 31 at Wankhede Stadium. These early away encounters will test Kolkata’s strength as they face two of the tournament’s toughest teams. However, they won’t have to wait long to return to their home ground, as they host Hyderabad on April 3.
Kolkata’s schedule also features a Sunday afternoon match on April 6 against Lucknow at Eden Gardens, providing fans with a lively and energetic atmosphere. A crucial away fixture follows on April 11, when Kolkata travels to Chennai to face the local team at MA Chidambaram Stadium, a venue that has traditionally been tough for visiting teams.
Next, Kolkata will travel to Chandigarh on April 15 to play Punjab at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium. They’ll return to Kolkata on April 21 to face Gujarat at Eden Gardens, another high-stakes match.
