Fantasy Cricket Team for Lucknow Super Giants Vs Chennai Match
We have opted for a fantasy cricket team based on the recent performances, overall impact, and credit points.
Power Players for Lucknow Super Giants Vs Chennai Match
It was the first time that KL Rahul went for a golden duck in the Indian T20 League, in six years (56 innings), during the game against Gujarat. To put things into perspective, it was a rare failure. When Rahul last batted against Chennai in 2021, he remained unbeaten on 98.
After getting out for a nought, Ruturaj Gaikwad will be keen on getting back amongst the runs. Like Rahul, seldom does Gaikwad put a wrong foot forward in the league. It’s not to be forgotten that he finished as the top run-getter (635) of the tournament in 2021.
Wickets. Runs. Catches. Expect them all from Ravindra Jadeja. The marquee all-rounder scored 26 runs with the bat in the last game. Very rarely does he disappoint the fantasy players.
Moeen Ali is back in the mix. He played an integral part in Chennai’s title reign last year (357 runs and 6 wickets). Given his all-round ability, he fits the bill as a captain/vice-captain in fantasy cricket leagues.
Smart Picks for Lucknow Super Giants Vs Chennai Match
Quinton de Kock might have flopped in the opening game, but we know what the dashing opener is capable of, especially in the powerplay. In addition to his swashbuckling stroke play, he also dons the gloves for Lucknow.
Krunal Pandya added useful 21 runs down the order and also picked a wicket against Gujarat. The pugnacious all-rounder often makes a difference in fantasy leagues with both bat and ball.
Although Lucknow Super Giants lost their opening match, youngster Ayush Badoni’s aggressive half-century stole the show. At a reasonable budget, he could be a steal in fantasy leagues.
For MS Dhoni, age is just a number. Just when Chennai appeared to be in a hole against Kolkata, he responded with a gritty 50*. And we need not even mention his wicketkeeping skills!
Dwayne Bravo was the best bowler (3 for 20) for Chennai in the tournament opener. Currently, he is the second-highest wicket-taker (170) in the history of the tournament.
It will be interesting to see how the LSG new-ball bowlers Dushmantha Chameera and Avesh Khan go about their business against a relatively wobbly Chennai top-order. The pace duo picked up 3 wickets between them in the opening match.

Match Preview
Both teams suffered a loss in their opening match and will be keen on rectifying their mistakes to get on the points table. While Chennai would hope for a better batting performance, Lucknow Super Giants batters will look to exploit the relatively inexperienced Chennai pace attack.
