Fantasy team for Netherlands vs Pakistan

We have opted for a fantasy cricket team based on the recent performances, overall impact, and credit points.

Pitch Report for Netherlands vs Pakistan 1st ODI

There has been only one score above 300 in 12 ODIs at Hazelaarweg, Rotterdam. Scoring runs is often an uphill task here. With rain expected to play spoilsport, the seamers are likely to get more purchase from the wicket.

Probable Playing XIs for Netherlands & Pakistan

Probable XI for Netherlands: Vikramjit Singh, Max O’Dowd, Tom Cooper, Bas de Leede, Scott Edwards(c & wk), Teja Nidamanuru, Logan van Beek, Tim Pringle, Aryan Dutt, Wesley Barresi, Vivian Kingma

Probable XI for Pakistan: Fakhar Zaman, Imam-ul-Haq, Babar Azam(c), Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Khushdil Shah, Agha Salman, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah, Shaheen Afridi

Power Players

Bas de Leede’s recent form has been outstanding. He scored three fifties in his last four T20Is. In the ODI series against England in June, he registered scores of 56, 34, and 28. In addition to his batting exploits, he has managed 10 wickets in his last 10 white-ball games.

Against England, Scott Edwards was Netherland’s top performer. His scores read 64, 78, and 72*. The onus of keeping the scorecard ticking in the middle overs is on the Dutch captain.

Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq have been scoring bulk of the runs in 2022. While Babar has scored four hundreds and a fifty in six ODIs, Imam has scored three hundreds and three fifties.

Smart Picks

Max O’Dowd has played a mere 17 ODIs and has already collected 650 runs at an impressive average of 43. He was also Netherlands’ highest run-scorer in the ICC T20 Qualifiers.

The same is the case with Tom Cooper. He has scored 1,049 runs at 46, including a hundred and eight fifties in 26 ODIs. He also rolls his arm over in the time of need and has 14 wickets to his name.

Shaheed Afridi’s in-swingers with the new ball and toe-breakers at the death will be difficult to deal with for the home team. He averages 24 in the format.

Netherlands use Logan van Beek as a strike bowler. His hard lengths may give away a few runs, but he likes to feed on batters’ ego. The recent highlight of his bowling is the four-wicket haul he took against New Zealand in April.

The talented Vikramjit Singh has been helping Netherlands lay strong foundations of late. He has scored 251 runs at 28, including only one single-digit score. He often occupies the crease for longer periods.

Shadab Khan’s dual skills produce useful fantasy points. The last time he played an ODI – against West Indies in June – he scored 86 and picked 4 for 62.

Netherlands vs Pakistan 1st ODI Match Preview

Netherlands are yet to register a win in the format in 2022, having lost 12 consecutive ODIs. Moreover, they have lost three games against Pakistan. In terms of both talent and experience, Netherlands may appear inferior, but their recent spirited performances can cause some panic in the Pakistani camp.
