Fantasy Tips of The Day
The University Oval has been a happy hunting ground for Daryl Mitchell. After five outings, he has an average of 48 in addition to taking four wickets and three catches.
Kusal Mendis has been rewarding fantasy players handsomely in 2023: 351 runs at 32 and five catches. Against New Zealand too he has impressive numbers, collecting 151 runs at 30.
For seven consecutive T20Is, Wanindu Hasaranga hasn’t gone wicketless. In this period, he has bagged 11 wickets and grabbed five catches.
In addition to slamming two fifties in his last five T20Is, Tom Latham inflicted four dismissals. At the venue, he has the highest score of 66.
Henry Shipley has been repeatedly starring in fantasy leagues since 2022. In 12 T20s, he has scalped 22 wickets including as many as six two-fors.
For the year, Charith Asalanka has already accumulated 135 runs at 34, generating bonus points for smashing 17 boundaries in the process.
Dasun Shanaka (128 runs and four wickets) is the only player from either side to feature in the Best11 in four of his last five T20Is.
One way or the other, James Neesham’s dual ability has been helping fantasy players lately. Besides scoring 129 runs, he picked 11 wickets in his last 10 professional T20s.
In the last three games at the venue, 53% of the wickets belonged to seamers and 41% to spinners.
