Power Players for Rajasthan vs Bangalore Match

It was Jos Buttler’s smashing 100 off 68 balls that set up the win for Rajasthan against Mumbai. He also generated bonus fantasy points by hitting 11 fours and 5 sixes. Given the true bounce on offer at the Wankhede Stadium, it would be an uphill task to contain his rampage.

Yuzvendra Chahal’s gutsy leg-spin bowling has fetched him 5 wickets in two games. Rajasthan would expect nothing less from their ace spinner against his former franchise. His battle against Glenn Maxwell and Virat Kohli will be exciting to watch.

After getting hammered against Punjab, Wanindu Hasaranga responded with match-winning figures of 4 for 20 against Kolkata. The southpaws in the Rajasthan lineup could have a tricky time negotiating the wrong ‘un from the Sri Lankan leggie.

Bangalore would want their skipper Faf du Plessis to lay a strong foundation at the top. Although he was dismissed for 5 in the last match, his 88 against Punjab once again proved that age is just a number for him.

Sanju Samson is known to perform at his best in the earlier stages of the Indian T20 League. In the first two games, he has scored 30 and 55. He also generates fantasy points with his glovework.

Smart Picks for Rajasthan vs Bangalore Match

Glenn Maxwell will lend balance to the Bangalore team. He should bat in the top four and can also roll his arm over, especially in the powerplay. The last time he batted against Rajasthan in 2021, he remained unbeaten on 50.

As far as death bowling goes, Harshal Patel is the go-to man for Bangalore. He bagged 6 wickets in his last two outings against Rajasthan.

Shimron Hetmyer has successfully applied the finishing touches (32 and 35) against Hyderabad and Mumbai. A similar assault would do just fine for both Rajasthan and fantasy players.

Rajasthan will rely on Trent Boult and Prasidh Krishna for early wickets in the powerplay. Between them, they have picked 6 wickets in two matches.

Dinesh Karthik is at his most dangerous when he has only limited balls to face. It was his 7-ball 14 that sealed the deal for Bangalore against Punjab.

Match Preview

Bangalore lead Rajasthan in the head-to-head count (12-10). To add fuel to the fire, they have been unbeaten against Rajasthan in the last four outings.

As far as the current form goes, Bangalore beat Kolkata in their last match after losing to Punjab earlier in the tournament. On the other hand, Rajasthan have won both their games. Although Bangalore will be bolstered by Maxwell’s return, Rajasthan  appear more balanced and formidable.
