The afternoon games will begin at 3.30 pm while the evening games will begin at 7:30 pm. While Kolkata and Bengaluru will be the first two teams to begin their campaign in the tournament on the 22nd of March, Gujarat and Punjab will have to wait till the 25th of March for their campaign to start as they will be the last two teams teams to get off the mark, which they would do in the world’s biggest stadium, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The teams that finish in the top four at the end of the league stage would then qualify for the playoffs. Chennai will host Mumbai on 23rd March while they will travel to play at the Wankhede on April 20th. The teams had met only once last year.
