Trinbago vs Barbados, Caribbean T20 League 2022: Today’s Match Preview, Fantasy Cricket Tips

We have opted for a fantasy cricket team based on the recent performances, overall impact, and credit points.

Fantasy Team for Trinbago vs Barbados

Pitch Report

1st innings average score: 129

2nd innings average score: 123

Type: Slow and sluggish wicket. Batters will have to work hard to collect runs.

Teams

Probable XI for Trinbago: Tion Webster, Sunil Narine, Colin Munro, Nicholas Pooran, Tim Seifert (wk), Shaaron Lewis/Jayden Seales, Kieron Pollard (c), Andre Russell, Khary Pierre, Ravi Rampaul, Daryn Dupavillon

Probable XI for Barbados: Kyle Mayers, Quinton de Kock (wk), Corbin Bosch, Azam Khan, David Miller (c), Jason Holder, Devon Thomas, Hayden Walsh, Joshua Bishop, Obed McCoy, Oshane Thomas

Form Concerns

In his last seven T20s, Nicholas Pooran has scored a mere 44 runs at an average of six.

Kieron Pollard’s scores read 6 and 1 this season and he registered 0 for 28 in the only innings he bowled. To put things into perspective, he has been out of sorts since the Indian T20 League, eventually being unprofitable in fantasy cricket.

Game Changers

Although Sunil Narine has not contributed significantly with the bat, Trinbago has persisted with him at the opening slot. His job anyway is to heave a wild slog. With the ball, the magician has picked four wickets in as many games, providing bonus fantasy points for an economy 5 RPO.

Andre Russell may not have made any headlines yet, but his dual skills have been used in all games. His best scores read 22 off 13 and best figures read 2 for 11.

Smart Picks

Quinton de Kock finally broke the shackles and registered a fifty amidst what has been an ordinary time with the bat. However, a strike rate of 117 may not impress fantasy players, but an average of 44 this season is boosting enough.

The pace duo of Obed McCoy and Jason Holder has taken 13 wickets between them. While McCoy’s overs were mostly used up at the death, Holder was given the ball when the team needed a breakthrough.

Ravi Rampaul, the highest wicket-taker of the previous season, took a three-wicket haul against Jamaica. Two of his three wickets came of a short ball in the powerplay, nicely setting up the batters.

Power Players

With 206 runs at an average of 41 and a strike rate of 150, Kyle Mayers is the second-highest run-scorer of the season. In addition to his batting heroics, he has taken five wickets. Above all, he has been a part of the Ultimate Team on My11Circle in all five games.

David Miller has smashed 132 runs at a strike rate of 165 including the highest score of 60, which incidentally came against Trinbago. The pitches in the Caribbean have been suiting his style of cricket.

In his last 10 T20 games, Colin Munro has scored 211 runs at an impressive average of 35. Given the form and fortune of Trinbago batters, Munro seems to be the best pick.

Fantasy Tip of The Day

Given the conditions, all-rounders are likely to reap more rewards. Moreover, batters who occupy the crease for longer periods will keep you in the hunt.
